Hello peps,
As you know i been afk for some time now and it is not going to clear up anytime soon. The economy is bad, money is little.
I have not had a raise or any type of bonus in about 2 years, my bills have gotten higher.
Donations do not come in and the community is very inactive for us. So with that said you can tell where this is going.
I am going to have to shut down the server. I will however keep the website up and for now the
ventrillo up. Ventrillo will be up for at least 3 more months for that is what it is paid for and then i might cancel it then, though it is dollars to keep up so it might stay.
The website will stay up forever it is cheap and i want everyone to still be able to communicate.
I will probably convert it to a map dling site for anyone that wants fast map down loads for their server, if and when i get a chance.
I have unlimited bandwidth here
so be a shame not to take advantage of that.
I know this will disappoint some people and make some people happy. When things get better, i will definitely consider bringing the server back up.
As it is though on June 2, 2009 it will go down. I have everything saved and backed up.
If any members of our community wants to run a Newbie World Order server just pm me here.
The donation option on the front page here will be gone.
We have been around since the beginning of the creation of condition zero, and it is very hard for me to let the server go,
but i have to think about my bills first, than a game i do not even play much anymore.
Ok so with all that gibberish said, feel free to wear the tag still if you like, if not no biggie. If any members start a new clan and need a forum let me know i can
host it here for you for free, that is easy to do. If you want to use the fast map dl just pm me and i can give you the link to put in your server.cfg file to use it.
If you want maps added to it just pm me, give me a link to it make sure you tested it, i will upload it at my convenience to the website, you will have to take care of your
server side though.
I will try to be on this weekend for one last play on the server.
